Howey Bay is officially clear of ice, but for once it doesn't mean ice out!  Normally Howey Bay is the last area of ice on Red Lake because the wind pushes the ice into the bay.  This year, it's the opposite!

I spied open water on Howey Bay this afternoon, it's a beautiful day here today but unfortunately they're calling for snow on Sunday! Still, it can't be much longer!

We parked the snow machines for the season last week and now wait for the ice to melt! Now I wouldn't say we are hard on the snow machines, but they definitely get put to work.... so much so that the track blew off mine on our way home!

Thankfully Vito built the sleighs...
