Fall time is beautiful on Douglas Lake. We hiked the Douglas Portage yesterday, a wide and dry trail that we have been improving on this season. This is one of the access trails few canoeists use to start their adventure in the Woodland Caribou Park.
As we were exploring off the trail, we came across this weird white stuff on some alders. At first I thought it was a strange kind of fungus, but after doing some research we discovered that it is an aphid colony!
