The Lodge

The Lodge is a 42’x36’ log building. Our guests gather here in the evenings in large groups to talk about the days fishing adventures. There are couches and tables set up for card playing or story telling. Relax on the deck in the evening to watch the stars or in the morning with your coffee to catch the sunrise. You will find photo albums and log books dating back to the late 40’s when Viking Island Lodge was built.

2 Traditional Cabins

Each cabin was carefully built of logs by Arthur Carlson from local trees. He was a master craftsman with a passion for the bush. Today each cabin is a clean and cozy retreat from the noisy, modern world. Each has a peaceful view, a wood heater and propane lights - the simple luxuries of life. Linen and towels are provided. Guests go back in time again when they visit the outhouse. Each cabin has its own, and they do fit into this simpler, more relaxed way of life. There is a central shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Here on an island in a wilderness park this is a good way of life.

Surveyors Cabin

This cabin has long been a favourite spot for guests. It has the best view of the lake. This cabin is open concept with a central sitting area. Since this is a traditional cabin, there is no kitchen or bathroom in the cabin.
